Hello Cube (often written as HelloCube) is a Chinese brand. It is known mainly for accessories and everyday puzzles rather than flagship speed cubes. At Strefa Kostek we stock two 35 x 70 cm solving mats from this manufacturer and a large 3x3 cube with 18 cm sides.
Hello Cube 35 x 70 cm mats
Mats are the best-known part of the brand's range today. A 35 x 70 cm surface fits a timer and still leaves room for your cube. The mat protects your cube if you drop it while solving and keeps it from sliding across the desk. Both models we offer are black and differ in their print:
- HelloCube Full-of-Cubes Mat: the whole surface is covered with a pattern of different cubes.
- HelloCube 11Cube Mat: features a colorful graffiti-style graphic with various puzzles and the Hello Cube logo in the top left corner.
The manufacturer also makes training mats with printed algorithms. There is a CFOP version (cross, F2L, OLL, PLL) and a CMLL version for Roux solvers.
Large Cube 3x3x3 (18 cm)
This cube has 18 cm sides and weighs about 946 g, many times more than a regular 3x3 speed cube. It comes in a stickerless version, and the tension is adjusted with screws. Because of its size and weight, it turns completely differently from a standard cube. It is not suitable for timed practice, but it works well as a gift, as a teaching aid for demonstrating moves to a group, or as a shelf decoration.
Gear cubes and other Hello Cube puzzles
Among cubers, the brand is also known for its gear cubes. The Gear Shift 2x2 can be slid apart in the middle to reposition the gears. There is also the classic 3x3 Gear Cube. In some markets, cubes from other manufacturers, such as the MoYu Meilong series or QiYi, are also sold under the HelloCube name. So when comparing such models, it is worth checking who actually made the mechanism.
Who is it for?
Hello Cube mats are handy if you practice with a timer and want to protect your cubes and your desk, and they also make a great gift for a young cuber. The large 3x3 is more of a gadget than training gear. For breaking records, you are better off choosing cubes from GAN, MoYu, QiYi or X-Man Design.
