Clothing and backpacks for speedcubers

When you head to a competition, to school or to a meetup with other cubers, you usually take more than one cube. There's your main 3x3, often a 2x2 or a Pyraminx too, plus a timer, lube and other bits and pieces. In the Clothing category, we've gathered backpacks and a bag from cube manufacturers: QiYi, MoYu, MoFangGe and GAN. They're made for everyday use, carry the logos cubers know from their cubes, and fit your puzzles along with everything else.

Backpack or chest bag?

The backpacks (MoYu Backpack, MoFangGe Backpack, GAN BackPack and QiYi Forever Backpack) work well when your cubes travel with other things for the whole day. You can use them as a regular backpack and pack a few puzzles and competition accessories into them when you need to.

The QiYi Chest Bag is smaller and can be worn over the shoulder or on the front, across your chest. It's handy if you mostly carry cubes and small items rather than a full backpack. At competitions it has one more advantage: between rounds everything is within reach, and you don't have to take off a backpack.

How to choose a backpack for your cubes

• How much you carry: if it's just a few cubes and a timer, a smaller bag is enough. If you also carry books, clothes or a mat, a backpack is the better choice.
• Protecting your cubes: cubes thrown loosely into a backpack knock against each other and get scratched. It's better to put each one in its own pouch, especially stickered models and larger puzzles. You'll find pouches and smaller cube bags in the Bags category.
• Brand and colour: available colours are listed on each product page. For many people the logo matters too, because a backpack with the brand of your favourite cubes is easy to spot at competitions.

A gift for a cuber

A backpack or bag with a GAN, MoYu or QiYi logo is a great gift idea for someone who already owns a few cubes. With a purchase like this, you don't need to know anything about magnets, Ball-Core or tension settings. You just need to know how much the person usually carries and whether they travel to competitions more often or simply take a cube to school.
