MoFangJiaoShi (Chinese: 魔方教室, MFJS for short) is a brand owned by MoYu that has been around since 2016. You will often see it under its English name, Cubing Classroom. From the start, MoFangJiaoShi cubes have been affordable and aimed mainly at people who are just starting out. Despite the low price, many of them use solutions known from more expensive MoYu models. That is why many of today's speedcubers learned to solve on cubes from this manufacturer.

MoFangJiaoShi cubes: from MF3RS to RS3M MagLev

The brand's first models were the MF series, including the MF2S, MF3S and MF3RS. The RS line turned out to be the most important one. The MF3RS was followed by the MF3RS2 and MF3RS3, and later by the RS3M 2020, a factory-magnetic 3x3. For years, the RS3M was one of the most frequently recommended budget mains.

The newer version, the RS3M 2021 MagLev, has no springs. Their role is taken over by magnets positioned so that they repel each other. Fewer parts rub against each other, and the cube does not make the typical spring noise. According to user reviews, the MagLev version feels faster than the standard one but requires a bit more control when corner cutting. The RS MagLev Pyraminx is based on the same solution.

The Meilong series and unusual puzzles

Meilong is the most affordable MFJS line. It includes classic NxN cubes from 2x2 all the way up to very large sizes, with magnetic versions marked with the letter M. In our shop, you will mainly find unusually shaped puzzles from this series:

• pyramid variants: Corner Twist, Boomerang, Bead, Triangle, Maple Leaf and Windmill Pyramid,


• Meilong Unicorn Cube,


• Meilong Crystal Cube with Clover.

They are a good choice if you have already mastered the 3x3 or Pyraminx and are looking for something other than yet another speedcubing cube.

Accessories: Cube Robot Box

The Cube Robot Box is a cube box that can be folded into a robot figure. It works well as a desk display or as gift packaging for a child. We also have a separate version for larger 4x4 and 5x5 cubes.

Who are MFJS products for?

• Beginners and parents: a first cube for a reasonable price, with good build quality.


• Speedcubers on a budget: the RS3M MagLev is a solid main that doesn't cost much.


• Collectors: the shaped Meilong puzzles make an interesting addition to a collection.

If you care about extensive tension adjustment and flagship features, you are better off looking at the top MoYu or GAN models. MoFangJiaoShi's greatest strength is how much the cubes offer for their price.
