GAN BackPack

GAN BackPack for Cubes

The GAN BackPack is a backpack from GAN designed for trips to WCA competitions. The bottom compartment holds up to 16 3x3 cubes, and the other pockets fit your timer, mat, documents and laptop. Each cube has its own slot in a divider, so they don't knock against each other on the way. It comes in gray.

Cube compartment

The bottom part of the backpack is divided into 8 slots, and each one fits two standard-size 3x3 cubes (approx. 57 mm). The slots are separated by 5 mm thick walls, and the inside is lined with a soft suede-like material. This keeps the cubes from rubbing against each other and protects them from being squeezed. The UV coating and stickers also get scratched less. The slots are sized for 3x3 cubes, so larger NxN cubes may not fit.

Other pockets

• Top section: two mesh pockets and a zippered pocket for small items such as a timer, lube, a tension adjustment tool or spare springs.
• Back compartment: hidden zipper with a wide opening. Fits A4 documents and a 14" laptop.
• Sides: two waterproof pockets for a bottle, a rolled-up mat or an umbrella.

Material and comfort

The backpack is made of waterproof, abrasion-resistant polyester and has zippers with the GAN logo. The back has several soft, ventilated panels that let air flow through. The shoulder straps are adjustable and breathable. This matters when the backpack is full and you carry it through a whole day of competition.

Who is it for?

For cubers who take several cubes or a whole collection to competitions and want to keep them organized together with the rest of their things. It also works well as a school backpack for kids who carry cubes every day. If you usually take just one or two cubes, a smaller bag or pouch will be enough.
