List of products by manufacturer XJ

XJ (XinJia) is a Chinese manufacturer of unusual collector puzzles. It brings complex designs into mass production, such as the Curvy Face-Turning Rhombic Triacontahedron by Kairis Puzzles and the 20-axis TuttStarminx. These puzzles are for those who have already mastered the Megaminx and are looking for something harder.

XJ – puzzles with unusual shapes

XJ (XinJia), also known as XJ Puzzle, is a Chinese manufacturer of collector puzzles. The company specializes in multi-axis puzzles with unusual geometry, shapes that used to exist mainly as one-off 3D prints. XJ does not make speedcubes. People buy its puzzles to crack a challenging mechanism.

What XJ is known for

XJ works with puzzle designers. The best example is the Curvy Face-Turning Rhombic Triacontahedron (CurFaTRhoTri for short), designed by Kairis Puzzles. It is the first Kairis puzzle released in mass production. It has the shape of a rhombic triacontahedron, and curved cuts divide each of the 30 rhombi into a star-and-petal pattern. The brand's other signature puzzle is the TuttStarminx: a 32-faced puzzle whose layers turn around 20 axes.

XJ puzzles at Strefa Kostek

  • XJ Curvy Face-Turning Rhombic Triacontahedron (Standard) – a version with some pieces permanently joined (bandaging), which limits the number of possible moves. Black body with stickers.

  • XJ Curvy Face-Turning Rhombic Triacontahedron (Plus) – an unbandaged version with deeper cuts, harder than the Standard.

  • XJ TuttStarminx – 32 faces and 20 axes of rotation. Its name refers to the Starminx, but its geometry is different. Available in Black and Primary versions.

Who XJ puzzles are for

They are for collectors and cubers who have already solved the Megaminx and are getting bored with familiar shapes. Standard algorithms from cubes and the Megaminx won't be enough here. You will largely have to build the solution yourself using commutators, or follow a step-by-step tutorial. Solving takes a lot of time, but that is exactly what these puzzles are about. Thanks to their rare geometry and colorful pattern, they also look great on a shelf. We don't recommend them as a first puzzle.
