Zeal – Slim Pyraminx and speedcubing timer

Zeal is a brand of puzzles and speedcubing accessories. Many sources list it as ZePuzzles, and some products are sold under both names. You'll find the full ZePuzzles range, including the Floppy Cube, Squished and Domino Skewb, on the ZePuzzles manufacturer page. Under the Zeal name, Strefa Kostek offers a flat pyramid puzzle and a timer.

Zeal products at Strefa Kostek

• Zeal Slim Pyraminx – a flattened version of the classic Pyraminx: a flat triangle with sides of about 80 mm and a thickness of just under 3 cm. Both the faces and the tips turn, so the methods you know from the Pyraminx still work. Available with a black or white body, and in a limited edition made of blue plastic.

• Zeal Smart Timer – a timer with a colour screen that generates its own scrambles for 2x2–5x5, Pyraminx, Skewb, Clock and Square-1. It measures time to 0.001 s and up to 99 hours, saves results with +2 and DNF penalties, calculates mo3 and ao5, and charges via USB-C.

Who are Zeal products for?

The Slim Pyraminx is a simple, affordable puzzle. It has fewer pieces than a full pyramid, so you can solve it on your own without learning algorithms. It works well as a first puzzle, a fun addition to a shape mod collection or a small gift. It isn't hardware for breaking records, and the plastic is more basic than in speedcubing cubes. The Smart Timer is handy if you practise against the clock and want scrambles and averages at hand without a phone or a computer running csTimer. The screen is small, so longer scrambles, e.g. for 5x5, need to be read more carefully.
