List of products by manufacturer MSCUBE

MSCUBE is a 3x3 cube brand founded by a former GAN employee and owned by DianSheng since 2022. Its models, such as the MS3-V1 and MS3-L, feature a distinctive spiderweb pattern on the pieces, extensive core adjustment and a fast, flexible feel.

The MSCUBE brand was founded by Zi Hao, a former GAN employee, who started releasing his own 3x3 cubes in 2021. His years at GAN show in the design. The first MSCUBE models look similar to GAN cubes, and the core is adjusted with a dial that presses on the spring. It works on a similar principle to the GES system. In 2022 the brand was taken over by DianSheng, and newer MSCUBE cubes are now sold under the DianSheng name.

MSCUBE cubes – design and feel

The brand's signature feature is a spiderweb-like pattern on the surfaces where the pieces touch each other. It is meant to spread the lube better, and it also affects how the cube turns. Users usually describe MSCUBE cubes as crunchy and tactile, with a fairly flexible mechanism. The manufacturer focuses on adjustability, so you can change the spring compression on its cubes, and on some models the tension as well.

Key MSCUBE models

  • MS3-V1 – the brand's first cube, released in January 2021 in a standard and an Enhanced version. The Enhanced version has extra magnets in the edges, so the magnets feel more pronounced.

  • MS3-L – a cheaper alternative to the MS3-V1, released in September 2021. In the Enhanced version, magnets are also placed in the feet of the corners and edges, and part of the internals is made of transparent blue plastic. Tension is changed by swapping the center pieces and core parts, and compression is adjusted under the center caps. According to users, it is a very fast and flexible cube, even at the tightest settings.

  • MS3X – the flagship cube from 2022, released after DianSheng took over the brand. It has two magnet modes: standard (attraction) and MagLev.

Who MSCUBE cubes are for

MSCUBE makes only 3x3 cubes, and they are speedcubing models with extensive adjustment options. They are best for those who like fast, flexible cubes with a distinct, crunchy feel and are happy to spend some time setting up the core and choosing the right lube. If you prefer a smooth, more controllable feel and a cube that is ready to solve straight out of the box, an MSCUBE may need some work before it suits you. For less experienced cubers, the adjustable core can be a bit confusing at first. The factory setting is enough to start with, and you can make changes gradually.
