The MS3-V1 M is the first 3x3 cube from MsCube, a brand founded by a former GAN designer. It has 48 magnets, a crunchy, tactile feel and pieces with distinctive spider-web-shaped grooves. Adjustment comes from the five-position MAS system, a two-position core and three spring sets included in the box.

This is the cube that started the MsCube brand. The company was founded by a former GAN designer, and you can tell right away: the MSCUBE MS3-V1 M 3x3 looks and turns a bit like another GAN model. This magnetic 3x3 cube was released in 2021. It is easy to recognise by the spider-web-shaped grooves on its pieces.
The MS3-V1 has a crunchy, tactile feel and quite a lot of flex. Reviewers describe it as a fast cube with good corner cutting. Its performance is very close to GAN cubes. According to some users, the cube stays fairly loose even at the tightest setting, and slice moves are slightly slower than outer layer turns. If you prefer a firmer, more controlled cube, keep this in mind.
The adjustment has two parts. The first is the MsCube Adjusting System, or MAS for short (the name was coined by one of the reviewers). It has five positions and changes the distance between the center and the core, compressing or loosening the spring at the same time. The second is a two-position core. On top of that, you get three sets of springs of different stiffness. This gives you lots of combinations, but setting the cube up to your liking takes some experimenting. Swapping springs means taking the cube apart and takes more time than simply changing the MAS position.
There is also an Enhanced version on the market with additional magnets between the edges and centers that make the layers snap into place more firmly. The version described here has the standard set of 48 magnets, which makes it lighter to turn.
For cubers who like a tactile feel and enjoy fine-tuning their setup by changing springs and MAS positions. It also makes an interesting collection piece from a manufacturer outside the biggest brands. For a child's first cube, a simpler model is a better choice, as the extensive adjustment options may get in the way.
