Blank Center Cap for GAN 12/13/14 UV

This is a white, smooth center cap without the manufacturer's logo for GAN cubes from the 12, 13 and 14 series. The Blank Center Cap for GAN 12/13/14 UV has a UV coating, so once fitted, its finish matches the other centers on UV versions. Just put it in place of the original GAN logo cap and your cube will have six identical centers.

What it's useful for

• A cube without a logo. Some cubers prefer that no face stands out with a print, either for the look or so the logo doesn't become a reference point while solving.
• Your own logo. You can put your own sticker or another manufacturer's logo on the smooth cap.
• Blindfolded. BLD solvers often choose center markings to suit their system, and a blank cap makes that easier.
• Too many logos on one cube. After swapping parts between cubes, you may end up with logos on two centers. WCA regulations allow a logo on only one center, and a blank cap solves this problem.
• Spare part. It replaces a lost, scratched or cracked cap.

Compatibility with GAN 12, GAN 13 and GAN 14

The cap fits the GAN 14 UV, as well as newer units of the GAN 12 and GAN 13 UV versions. At some point GAN changed the center design in the 12 and 13 models, so cubes from earlier batches may have a different mounting that this cap will not fit. If you have an older GAN 12 or 13, compare the cap mounting in your cube before ordering.

This cap does not fit the GAN 14 Pro or the GAN 15. These models use a different center system and need a separate cap.

Finish

The surface has a UV coating, which makes it glossy and slightly more "tacky" to the touch than regular plastic. That's why it looks best on UV versions of cubes. On a cube with a matte finish, it will clearly stand out from the other centers.
