Blank Center Cap for GAN562 5x5 UV is an original GAN center cap without a logo. It fits the GAN562 5x5 cube in the UV version. Put it in place of the GAN logo cap and you get a plain, smooth center in the same color as the rest of the face. The available variant is White, a cap for the white center.

What it's for

It's most often bought by people who solve 5x5 blindfolded. A logo on the center is a problem in BLD because it gives away the orientation of the face, and WCA regulations restrict such markings on cubes used in blindfolded events. Before you compete, check the current regulations. With the blank cap, your cube has six identical, smooth centers.

The second group is people who want to add their own logo, sticker or design. It's easier to do on a blank cap than on the original one with the GAN print. It's also handy as a spare part when the original cap gets scratched, cracks or goes missing.

Finish and fit

The cap is made for the GAN562 with UV coating, so it visually matches the glossy faces of this version. The old cap is usually removed with a thin, flat tool slipped under its edge. Do it carefully so you don't scratch the UV coating on the neighboring pieces. The new cap goes into the same slot.
