Evgeniy Pillow Dino is a pillowed Dino Cube, meaning its faces are slightly rounded outwards. The design dates back to 2012. It was created by Evgeniy Grigoriev and is produced by Calvin's Puzzle. The mechanism is a classic Dino Cube, and only the shape has changed, so it feels rounder in your hands than a regular cube. We offer the version with a black body.

How the Dino Cube works

The Dino doesn't turn in layers like a 3x3. Every move is a rotation around one of the eight corners. Only the edges are visible: each face is made of four triangular pieces, and a single turn moves three of them at once. There are no centers or corners to orient. That's why the Dino Cube is one of the easier twisty puzzles. If you can solve a 3x3, you'll usually master it after a single tutorial.

First impressions

Users report that the puzzle can be stiff straight out of the box. A few dozen solves and some thicker lube noticeably improve the turning. According to reviews, corner cutting is decent, but reverse corner cutting is practically non-existent. This is a puzzle for your collection and casual solving, not a design built for high TPS.
