Where the name comes from and how it differs from the Seed

The Evil Seed has the same shape as the original Vladi's Seed, but it adds defined centers, meaning centers whose orientation matters when solving, as well as an extra axis of rotation. According to the manufacturer's and retailers' descriptions, the Evil Seed is harder than the original, hence the word "Evil" in the name.

How it solves

Because of the irregular shape, it is harder to keep track of the pieces than on a regular cube, and the defined centers have to be placed in the correct position. This is a puzzle to work out at your own pace, not one for speedsolving. Understanding the mechanism matters more here than TPS or corner cutting.
