Cubicle MAX Fleet Lube is a piece lube from the line TheCubicle created for Max Park. Max Park, world champion and record holder, uses it and puts his name on it. What sets it apart is that it is a non-Newtonian lube with a very high molecular weight. This affects both how your cube behaves after lubing and how you need to apply the lube.

How it works on your cube

MAX Fleet is designed to speed up your cube. The manufacturer describes it as a very fast lube with almost no drag. A non-Newtonian lube has no constant viscosity; instead, it reacts to the forces acting on it. That's why the feel of your cube after using it isn't always the same and may change. Judging a lube like this is fairly subjective, and users have mixed opinions about its consistency. Some people expect a lube that clearly "sticks to itself", as shown in YouTube reviews, and get a more fluid consistency instead.

Fleet has a counterpart in the same series: MAX Command, a control-oriented lube suitable for both the core and the pieces. Fleet goes the other way, towards speed.

Application warning

• Apply with particular care. If you press too hard, the lube can shoot out of the syringe in a large stream. It's best to dispense it very gently and in small amounts.
• The lube contains water, so do not apply it to the metal parts of your cube, such as springs or screws. It is intended for plastic pieces.
• Some users point out that the lube has a strong smell.

Who is it for?

MAX Fleet is for cubers who already know the basic lubes and want to see how their cube behaves with something of a completely different character. It is not a beginner lube. For your first lubing, a classic silicone lube is a better choice, as it is easier to dispense and gives a more predictable result.
