Cylindrical Neodymium Magnets (50 pcs)

This set contains 50 cylindrical neodymium magnets, grade N35. They are useful for magnetizing cubes yourself and for replacing magnets in puzzles. Each size is sold separately, so you can match the magnets to the slots in your cube and to how strong you want the attraction to be.

The strength and feel of the click depend on several things. A bigger magnet usually attracts more strongly. Thicker plastic between the magnets weakens their effect, so cubes with thick walls need stronger magnets. Shape matters too: two sizes with similar strength can give a completely different feel. You can see this clearly when comparing the 5x1 and 4x1.5 mm magnets described below.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 3x1.5 mm

For the inner layers of even-layered cubes, e.g. WuQue Mini. It also works well in megaminxes, where there is little room for a magnet.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 3x2 mm

For 3x3 cubes with thin plastic when you want a sharp, distinct click. It is also used in the outer layers of bigger cubes and in megaminxes, where a larger magnet won't fit.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 4x1 mm

For the inner layers of even-layered cubes, especially those with magnet slots (AoSu GTS 2, AoShi GTS). In 3x3 cubes with thin plastic, it gives a light attraction.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 4x1.5 mm

This is the standard size MoYu uses in its magnetic cubes. It fits the slots in the MF3RS3, AoSu GTS 2, AoChuang GTS, AoShi GTS, AoFu GTS and WeiLong GTS2 and GTS3. With plastic about 1 mm thick, it gives medium strength.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 4x2 mm

For cubes with slightly thicker plastic and for 2x2 cubes with very thick walls, e.g. WeiPo.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 5x1 mm

The attraction is similar to 4x1.5 mm magnets, but glued into the same spot they give a noticeably smoother click. This is a good choice if you want a magnetic cube with a softer, less tactile feel.

Cylindrical neodymium magnet 5x3 mm

We recommend this size only for specific uses. It works where you need much more strength or where thick plastic greatly weakens the magnets. Examples include the slash on a Square-1, magnetizing a megaminx at the center-edge contact and replacing magnets in a pyraminx.

Other sizes: 3x1, 5x2, 4x3 and 6x3 mm

Other sizes are also available, so you can match them to the slot dimensions in your puzzle. The 3x1 mm magnets are the smallest we offer, and the 6x3 mm ones are the largest and strongest.

Check the polarity before you glue the magnets in. Neodymium magnets are small and strong, so keep them away from small children.
