The first thing you notice is the large, round discs on the sides. DaYan 30-Axis Wheels is a collector's puzzle from the Wheels of Wisdom (Wheel of Wisdom) family. It is based on the DaYan 30-Axis Hexadecagon, a puzzle with 30 axes of rotation, bandaging and jumbling, with large, round wheels placed on its faces. Despite the similar name, it is not a harder version of the classic Wheels of Wisdom. It works differently and is solved differently, so even if you know the original, you will need some time to understand how this puzzle moves.

How it turns

This is a puzzle for solving, not for speedcubing, so keep that in mind before you buy. According to user reviews, a new puzzle turns stiffly. The mechanism needs breaking in, and lube clearly helps. The puzzle has jumbling, meaning moves after which the next turns are no longer obvious. Popping may occur when you try such moves. Pieces that fall out can usually be put back in by hand, but you should turn calmly and precisely, without forcing the wheels.

Black or Stickerless Bright?

The mechanism is the same in both versions. They differ in finish. The Black version has a black body, while Stickerless Bright is made of coloured plastic, with no stickers. The pieces here are small, which is why some people prefer the stickerless version: the colours are easier to tell apart and there are no stickers that could wear off as the wheels turn.

Who is it for?

For collectors and anyone who enjoys unusual puzzles and has already solved a few jumbling puzzles or puzzles from the Wheels of Wisdom family. Solving it takes patience and your own analysis of the moves, so this model is not suitable as a first puzzle after the 3x3 cube or as a gift for a child who is just starting out.
