DaYan Megaminx V2 M replacement

DaYan Megaminx V2 M replacement – spare parts

This product is a set of spare parts for the DaYan Megaminx V2 M, the magnetic second-generation megaminx from DaYan. You are not buying a complete puzzle here, only pieces you can use to replace lost, cracked or worn parts in your own megaminx. The plastic is Black.

When spare parts come in handy

A megaminx has a lot of pieces, so a drop or a pop can easily damage or lose one of them. Replacing individual parts is usually cheaper than buying a new puzzle. You also keep the same setup you are used to. Spare parts are also useful if you like taking your puzzles apart and modding them, and want to have extra pieces at hand.

Which model they fit

The parts are designed for the DaYan Megaminx V2 M. This version comes with factory-installed magnets (120 of them, according to distributors) and textured faces that improve grip. Megaminxes from different manufacturers, and even different DaYan versions, have differently shaped pieces. So don't assume these parts will fit another megaminx. DaYan also offers a similarly named model, the Megaminx V2M Lite, so check which version you have before you buy. If you are not sure, write to us and we will help you find out.

What to keep in mind

• The plastic is black. On a puzzle in a different colour, the replaced part will stand out.
• After replacing pieces, check the tensioning and apply lube if needed, so the new parts move the same way as the rest of the mechanism.
• When replacing a magnetic piece, pay attention to the orientation of the magnets. A piece inserted the wrong way may turn differently from the others.
