Diansheng 3x3x3 Magnetic

Diansheng 3x3x3 Magnetic

Diansheng 3x3x3 Magnetic is a newer magnetic 3x3 cube from DianSheng and one of the manufacturer's first models designed as a modern speed cube. Don't expect anything exceptional compared with flagship designs. You choose this cube to get a simple, predictable magnetic cube at a reasonable price that turns smoothly and stably.

How it solves

Turning is smooth right out of the box. The magnets provide medium to fairly strong attraction, so the layers snap into place on their own and the cube doesn't fall out of alignment during faster turning. If you have only solved non-magnetic cubes so far, this means fewer accidental moves and better control. An experienced speedcuber who knows today's flagships will see this model more as a solid practice or backup cube than as a main competition cube.

Look and adjustment

The plastic has a matte (frosted) finish, and the centers have distinctively shaped caps that make this model easy to recognize. You can change the tension with the screwdriver included in the set, setting the cube looser for faster turning or tighter if you prefer more control.

Color variants

• Stickerless Bright: a stickerless cube in classic, bright colors.
• Macaron: a stickerless cube in a lighter, pastel color scheme.

Who is it for?

For anyone switching from a regular cube to their first magnetic one, and for parents looking for a decent starter 3x3 cube for their child without spending much. The included solving guide will help anyone who is just learning the beginner's method.
