Diansheng 6x6 M

DianSheng 6x6 M (Solar 6M)

DianSheng 6x6 M is the brand's first 6x6 cube. It belongs to the Solar series, which is why some shops list it as Solar 6M. It's a mid-range magnetic 6x6 cube with medium-strength magnets and matte (frosted) plastic. We offer two colour versions: Stickerless Bright and the pastel Macaron.

How it turns

Right out of the box, the cube turns fast and smoothly, so you can start solving straight away. Reviewers praise it above all for its stability. The magnets help the layers settle into place, which makes slices easier to control on a big cube. The feel is often described as slightly crunchy. Corner cutting is decent but not outstanding. If you try to cut very large corners, you may run into lockups, so it pays to keep your turning accurate.

Out of the factory, the cube is often set up quite loose. In this state, catches, pops and inner pops (when a centre piece falls out of place) are more likely. Tightening the screws usually helps. A screwdriver for adjustment is included.

Adjustment

Tension is set with adjustment screws. A looser setup gives faster, lighter turning. Tightening the screws reduces the risk of pops and gives you more control. With a 6x6 cube, it's worth taking a moment to find your own setup, because the cube's behaviour depends on it to a large extent.

Who is it for?

For intermediate cubers who want to move up from 4x4 or 5x5 to a bigger puzzle without spending money on a flagship. Experienced speedcubers can use it as a budget main or a backup cube. Flagship 6x6 cubes, however, offer more options for fine-tuning the setup and better corner cutting. The cube is legal for official competitions.
