A magnetic 13x13 cube from the Galaxy series, approx. 92 mm in size and approx. 545 g in weight. Weak magnets help you hit the right layer, and widened outer layers give you a more secure grip. Available with a black or a bright interior (Black or Primary Internals).

DianSheng Galaxy 13x13 M is the magnetic version of the 13x13 cube from the Galaxy series, released in 2023. According to distributors, it was the first mass-produced magnetic 13x13 cube. Before that, you had to install magnets yourself at this size. The cube measures approx. 92 mm, which makes it small for a 13x13. It weighs approx. 545 g and is a stickerless cube in a bright colour scheme.
The magnets are weak. They don't slow your turns down, but they help a layer settle into place and make it easier to hit the layer you actually want to turn. With 13 layers per face, that's a big help, because without magnets it's easy to accidentally turn a neighbouring layer. Users say the cube turns smoothly for its size, and it can handle a little corner cutting too. Don't expect it to behave like a 3x3, though. Inaccurate turning leads to lockups, and a piece may pop out now and then. Popped pieces can usually be put back in by hand.
The small size has two sides. The cube sits well in your hands, but the pieces are tiny and you have to reach further to get to the middle layers. To make this a bit easier, DianSheng widened the outer layers, which gives you a better grip and a more stable hold.
The mechanism is the same in both versions; only the colour of the internal plastic differs. With the Black Internals version, you can see the black interior when you turn the layers. In the Primary Internals version, the interior is bright and doesn't contrast as much with the coloured faces. The choice comes down purely to which look you prefer.
For cubers who already solve big cubes (7x7 and larger) and want to move on to a 13x13, as well as for big cube collectors. Solving a 13x13 usually takes over an hour and requires a good command of reduction, so we don't recommend it as your first big cube. Smaller models from the Galaxy series are a better place to start.
