DianSheng Galaxy Elite Kilominx M is a magnetic dodecahedron that corresponds to a 6x6 megaminx. In the kilominx family, it is the next step after the regular Kilominx (2 layers) and the Master Kilominx (4 layers). The letter M in the name stands for the version with factory-installed magnets. This version is stickerless, with colored internals (Primary Internals) and a glossy finish.

Design

• Capsule magnets. Each piece has its magnet in a separate capsule with a colored, transparent cap. You can feel a clear snap as each layer settles into place, which helps keep the puzzle aligned when there are this many thin layers.
• Reinforced, integrated core. The core is designed to support the stability of the whole puzzle, which matters a lot on large puzzles with an even number of layers.
• Arc-cut and slightly concave faces. The outer pieces have an arched profile and the faces are slightly concave, so your fingers have a natural place to rest when turning.

How it turns

This is a new model, so there are only a few user reviews so far. The first ones highlight its stability, including in comparison with the Galaxy Master Kilominx. Keep in mind, however, that even-layered dodecahedra are naturally more prone to lockups and catching than a megaminx or gigaminx. Precise turning and breaking the puzzle in over the first few solves make a big difference here. The Galaxy Elite Kilominx M has no fixed centers, so you need to work out the color scheme from the corners.

Who is it for?

For someone who has already solved a megaminx, ideally also a Master Kilominx or a gigaminx, and knows the reduction method from big cubes: centers first, then edge pairing, and finally solving it like a megaminx. It is also an interesting item for dodecahedron collectors. For your first puzzle of this type, a regular megaminx or Kilominx is a better choice.
