DianSheng Googol 20 CM Magnetic Pyraminx is a large magnetic Pyraminx from the Googol series. In this series, DianSheng releases oversized puzzles that are meant to solve like normal speed cubes, not just look good. The edge of this Pyraminx is approx. 19.5-20 cm, so it is roughly twice the size of a standard one. Outside Poland, the same model is sometimes sold as the DianSheng Hulk Pyraminx or Big/Giant Pyraminx.

Big, but still made for solving

Oversized puzzles often turn heavily and catch. In this model, DianSheng used solutions known from regular speedcubing puzzles. It has factory-installed magnets that help the layers snap into place, and pieces with a "spiderweb" design that, according to the manufacturer, makes turning smoother. People who have tested it say it turns very well for its size.

You do have to accept the laws of physics, though. At this size, every move needs a wider range of motion from your hands and arms, so this is not a puzzle for breaking records or a replacement for your main. Standard magnetic Pyraminxes are made for that. The Googol works well for more relaxed solves, and it also looks great on a shelf.

Tension adjustment

The Pyraminx has a dual adjustment system with 10 settings, which is not standard on such a large puzzle. It lets you tune the mechanism to your own preferences: tighten it up or loosen it for lighter turning.

Colour versions

The puzzle is stickerless and the colours are in the plastic itself, so nothing peels off or wears away. You can choose from two versions that differ in internal colour: Black (black internals) and Primary (coloured internals).

Who is it for?

For people who already know the Pyraminx and want something different from yet another standard-size model. It is also a good choice for collectors of big puzzles and as a gift. For kids, the large pieces can make learning the moves easier, because you can clearly see what is happening on each face. For competitions and timed practice, a classic magnetic Pyraminx is a better choice.
