DianSheng House Cube 2x2 is a 2x2 cube shaped like a house. In the cubing community, a puzzle like this is called a shape mod: a regular cube with a modified outer shape. Inside, it works on a 2x2 mechanism, while the outer shell changes its look. When solved, the cube forms a house with a roof. When scrambled, it loses that shape, so you can see at a glance that it's mixed up. Its size when solved is approx. 55 mm.

How to solve it

The moves are the same as on a classic 2x2 cube. If you can solve a regular 2x2, you can solve the House Cube too. The challenge is that the pieces have different shapes. Every corner has to go to its own spot and be oriented correctly, otherwise the roof and walls won't come together as a house. If you only know classic cubes, this is a great first step into shape mods: you don't need to learn any new algorithms, you just need to look at the cube differently.
