DianSheng Solar S Pyraminx 2023 is a magnetic Pyraminx from the Solar series, which DianSheng started with 3x3 and 4x4 cubes. It is the first Pyraminx in this line. It features solutions known from the Solar cubes: tension adjustment with 6 settings, magnets in exposed capsules and teardrop-shaped pieces that help the puzzle turn smoothly. The stickerless version is available with a black (Black) or coloured (Primary) internal.

How it turns

Turning is smooth and fairly fast. The magnets are of medium strength, so the layers clearly snap into place, yet the puzzle doesn't put up much resistance. Users praise its corner cutting and compare the feel to more expensive flagship Pyraminxes. These are opinions, though, not a measured parameter. You can leave the puzzle on its factory settings or tune it to your liking with the adjustment system, which is why one review even describes it as several Pyraminxes in one.
