At first glance it looks like a transparent 3x3 cube measuring approx. 60 mm, but it doesn't turn. Fanxin Magnetic Puzzle is a magnetic Luban Lock-style puzzle. You take it apart into separate pieces, and then you have to put them back together into a cube. There are no layers, no algorithms and no tension adjustment, so it's all about spatial imagination and patience.

How the puzzle works

The cube is made of pieces with different shapes that together form a cube. Taking it apart is easy; putting it back together is the hard part. You need to figure out where each piece fits and in what order to add them. It's the same idea as classic Luban Lock puzzles, except that here the pieces are held together by magnets, not just by friction and a precise fit. That means a partially assembled cube doesn't fall apart with every move, and once it's complete, the cube holds its shape and you can pick it up like any other cube.

The transparent plastic looks great on a shelf, but it also gives you a hint about how the pieces run inside the cube. Some people will see this as making it easier, others as an extra nice touch.
