GAN PowerPod

GAN PowerPod: charging station for GAN smart cubes

GAN PowerPod is a charging station with a built-in battery, essentially a power bank for your cube. It fits GAN 356 i series smart cubes that have a rechargeable battery. Just place the cube in the PowerPod and it charges without hunting for a socket or cable, at home or on the go. The Pod also works as a case that keeps your cube safe in your backpack.

How many charges does it hold

According to sellers, the battery has a capacity of 1000 mAh. A fully charged PowerPod can charge your cube about 7-8 times before it needs charging itself. LEDs on the housing show the battery level. The PowerPod itself charges via USB-C. A full charge takes about 3 hours, and about 50% of the battery is restored after 1.5 hours.

Phone stand

The PowerPod has a pull-out handle that doubles as a phone holder. The phone rests against the handle and the PowerPod housing. This comes in handy with smart cubes: when you practice in the GAN app, the screen stands right in front of you, so you don't have to hold your phone or look for something to lean it on.

Which cubes does it work with?

The PowerPod works with GAN 356 i cubes that have a built-in battery: i2, i3, i Play and i Play 2. It does not work with the GAN i Carry, which uses a different power source. Newer cubes from the GAN 12 ui series use their own, separate versions of the PowerPod, which are sold in bundles with those cubes. So before buying, check which smart cube model you have.
