Giiker Super Blocks is an electronic logic puzzle: a portable console with an illuminated board and a set of colorful blocks. The rule is simple: the board lights up some squares, and you have to cover them exactly with blocks in the indicated colors. There is nothing to set up and no app to connect, because the puzzle works as soon as you put the batteries in. The game comes from the Xiaomi ecosystem and is available in our shop in white.

How to play

The board has a grid of 64 squares with LEDs. Each challenge lights up a shape, and an indicator on the side of the console shows which block colors you need to use. The blocks have holes that let the LED light shine through, and you place them on the pegs of the board. When all squares are correctly covered, the console detects it automatically and moves on to the next level.

There are over 1000 challenges stored in its memory. The first ones are very easy, and the difficulty increases gradually, especially when a single challenge requires you to combine blocks in several colors.

Modes and features

• Learning mode shows the solution step by step. You can move forwards and backwards through it.
• Hints help you out when you get stuck on a level.
• Challenge mode offers timed puzzles. A bar on the side shows how much time is left.
• You can mute the sounds and save your progress to come back to the game later.

Who is it for?

The manufacturer recommends Super Blocks for children aged 6 and up. The easy early levels let you start without explaining the rules, while later stages require planning and spatial imagination, so adults will also spend time on the harder challenges. It's a great choice for someone who enjoys brain teasers but not necessarily cubes. On top of that, it's screen-free entertainment that's easy to take on a trip. The game itself has nothing to do with speedcubing. It's simply a logic puzzle based on fitting shapes together.
