Giiker Super Slide Pro

Giiker Super Slide Pro is an electronic version of the classic sliding block puzzle known as Klotski or Huarong Dao. The board holds blocks of different sizes. Your task is to slide them around so that the big red block reaches the target area. The Pro version builds on the basic Super Slide: it has over 1000 levels instead of over 500, stronger magnets in the blocks, a two-player mode and a storage box.

How to play

The display shows the starting layout for each level. You arrange the blocks to match it and start sliding. You can't lift the blocks or jump them over other blocks. When the red block reaches the target area, the device detects it automatically and moves on to the next challenge. There's no need to check anything by hand or look up solutions in a booklet.

There are no algorithms to memorize like with a cube. What counts is planning a few moves ahead and finding room for the larger blocks. The first levels are easy, but later ones take quite a bit of figuring out.

What's new in the Pro version

Who is it for?

It's a great choice for kids who enjoy logic puzzles. The manufacturer recommends it for ages 6 and up. Adults will find something for themselves too, as the harder levels can keep you busy for quite a while. Cubers may enjoy it as a break from cubes: it's a different kind of puzzle, based on planning rather than muscle memory. If you just want to find out whether this kind of puzzle is for you, the basic Super Slide will be more than enough. The Pro version makes sense if you want more challenges and two-player games.
