A 96 mm plastic YJ mini fingerboard with metal parts, replicating a real skateboard at roughly 9:1 scale. The boards come in various shapes and graphics and are shipped in a random mix. You can request a specific design in the order comment.
The YJ Mini Fingerboard is a 96 mm plastic finger skateboard. Its shape and proportions match a real skateboard at roughly 9:1 scale. This means you can do the same tricks as on a regular skateboard, just with your fingers: ollies, kickflips, grinds and slides. The model is simple and light, so it works well as a first board and as a way to find out whether you enjoy fingerboarding.
The deck is made of plastic, and some parts, such as the trucks and their mounts, are metal. The boards come in different shapes inspired by different types of real skateboards. The fingerboard weighs about 9 g, so it's easy to carry with you all the time, in your pocket or pencil case.
This is a basic plastic fingerboard, not a board for advanced riders. Professional fingerboards are usually made from several layers of wood and feel different under your fingers. For learning the basic tricks and just having fun, a plastic board is all you need.
The fingerboards have different prints and shapes, but they are listed in the shop as a single product. We ship them in a random mix. If you'd like a specific design, mention it in the order comment and we'll try to pick a matching board.
Fingerboarding is skateboarding in miniature, with two fingers taking the place of the skater's legs. There are no age limits. Both kids and adults enjoy it, and experienced fingerboarders build their own ramps and obstacles.
The first fingerboards appeared in the late 1960s as homemade toys and decorations. For a long time afterwards, they were sold mainly as keychains. In the 1980s, people started doing the first tricks on them, and within a few years the curiosity turned into a hobby of its own, with its own community and competitions.
