MoFangGe Ivy Cube

A simplified version of the Skewb. That's this puzzle in a nutshell.

MoFangGe Ivy Cube looks unusual: with its rounded corners and leaf-shaped faces, it doesn't resemble a classic cube. In practice, though, it's a simplified skewb. Only four corners turn, and each move shifts the centers next to it. The puzzle has 4 moving corners and 6 centers, so there are far fewer pieces to solve than on a regular skewb. The Ivy Cube was invented by puzzle designer Eitan Cher, and the mass-produced version was released by MoFangGe (QiYi). You'll find both logos on the puzzle.

How it turns

The internals are very similar to those of the Wingy, for example, and it turns in a similar way. The feel is smooth and friendly, and moves don't require force or much precision. This is a non-magnetic version, so the corners don't stop with a distinct "click" like magnetic models do. For relaxed, casual solving, however, that's no problem. The tension can be adjusted with screws.

Who is the Ivy Cube for?

For anyone who has already solved a 3x3 cube and wants to try something different. Thanks to its simple design, the Ivy Cube is easy to figure out without knowing any algorithms, which makes it a great first step before the classic skewb. It's also a good gift for a child who enjoys puzzles. Its original look makes it popular with collectors, too. The Ivy Cube is not a WCA event, so it isn't bought with competitions in mind.

Fajna modyfikacja skewba. Chodzi płynnie i przyjemnie.

Ogólnie polecam dobry stosunek ceny do jakości.
