Monster Go 24 Blocks Magic Snake is a magic snake puzzle from GAN's Monster Go series. This line is designed mainly for kids and for anyone just starting out with puzzles. The model was released in 2021. It consists of 24 segments connected by joints. By rotating them relative to each other, you can turn the snake into animals, geometric shapes or a compact solid. You can also simply twist it in your hands like a fidget toy.

Detachable segments

In a typical magic snake, all pieces are permanently connected. In the Monster Go version, the segments can be detached and swapped. This lets you change the colour pattern of the snake or join several snakes into one longer one. Two sets in different colours give you 48 segments in total, and a longer snake lets you build much more complex shapes.

How do you play with a magic snake?

Unlike a 3x3 cube, the snake has no single "solved" state. The fun is in recreating shapes from diagrams or inventing your own. It's more about spatial thinking than algorithms: you need to picture which way to turn the next joints to get the shape you want. The snake has no magnets and no adjustment of any kind, so concepts known from speed cubes, such as tensioning or compression, don't apply here. The difficulty level is basic.
