MoYu 3x3x3 Keychain 30mm

This is a fully functional 3x3 cube in a mini version, measuring 30 mm per side. You can attach it to your keys, backpack or pencil case. The MoYu 3x3x3 Keychain 30mm comes from the MeiLong series (MoFang JiaoShi), MoYu's budget line, and has a similar feel to the larger cubes from this family. The Stickerless Bright version has no stickers, so nothing will wear off, even if you carry it in your pocket every day.

How does the small cube turn?

Despite its small size, the mechanism turns smoothly. Users describe the turning as smooth and the corner cutting as surprisingly good for a keychain. Still, keep your expectations realistic. At 30 mm, your fingers cover a large part of each face, so fast solving is harder than on a regular 56 mm cube. The cube has no magnets, so the layers don't snap into place on their own and you need a bit more precision. It's a great cube for solving in a queue, on the bus or during a break, but it won't replace your main cube for timed practice.

Keychain and tension adjustment

The ring with the chain is easy to detach. When you want to solve, simply take the cube off your keys and nothing gets in the way of your turns. The surface has a matte (frosted) finish, so the cube doesn't slip out of your fingers and doesn't pick up as many marks as glossy plastic. Tension is adjusted with screws, so if the cube is too loose or too tight, you can set it up the way you like.

For cubers who want to have a cube with them at all times, and for collectors of miniature puzzles. It also makes an affordable gift for someone who already solves. For a child who is just learning to solve the cube, it's better to start with a standard-size cube. Following the moves from a tutorial is easier on larger faces, and the keychain can be a nice extra.
