This 6x6 from MoYu's WR line was released in 2022. What sets it apart right away is its size. The MoYu AoShi WRM 6x6x6 measures approx. 63 mm and weighs 149 g, which makes it small and light for a 6x6 cube. With big cubes this really matters: it's easier to hold the whole cube in your hands and to turn the inner layers, and your hands get less tired during longer solves. This cube comes in the magnetic version, stickerless in the bright colour scheme.

Magnets and design

The cube has 144 factory-installed magnets that sit in dedicated slots. The magnets help the layers snap into place and keep the cube from getting misaligned during fast turning. This makes edge pairing and parity easier when you need to hit the right layers precisely. MoYu also states that the anti-lock mechanism has been improved compared to earlier models, and both sellers and users praise its corner cutting. Tension is adjusted with screws under the six centres.

How it turns

According to user reviews, the AoShi WRM is fast, smooth and stable, while giving you plenty of control. In terms of raw speed, not everyone will consider it the fastest 6x6, but in practice many people praise how it behaves throughout the whole solve. Popping is rare. The plastic has a matte (frosted) finish, which isn't to everyone's taste. Out of the box, some people describe the feel as slightly sandy, but lubing usually improves the turning noticeably. The most commonly reported downside is the centre caps, which sometimes fall out, especially when you catch them with your fingernails.
