A magnetic 4x4 cube from MoYu released in 2018, the successor to the AoSu GTS. Redesigned pieces with anti-pop protrusions keep the cube stable even on a loose setting. Turning is smooth, with low resistance and good corner cutting. Size approx. 61.5 mm, screw tension adjustment, extra magnets included.

MoYu AoSu GTS 2 4x4x4 Magnetic

MoYu AoSu GTS2 M is a magnetic 4x4x4 cube and the successor to the AoSu GTS. MoYu released it in September 2018. Compared with the first GTS, the main change is the design of the pieces. The goal was to reduce catching and lockups and to keep the cube under control during fast turning. The cube is available with black plastic (Black) and stickerless (Stickerless Bright).

You can see the changes as soon as you open the cube. The corner feet are narrower than in the GTS. The sides of the edges and the centers now have an extra protrusion, similar to the one in the WeiLong GTS3. The protrusions on the centers and edges protect the pieces from popping, and in practice they also stop the corners from separating from the edges. In the first GTS this could happen during very fast moves. The GTS2 M stays stable even on a loose setting.

Turning is very smooth, with low resistance, and corner cutting is excellent. The magnets are medium strength, with the inner layers stronger than the outer ones. This helps the slices snap into place, while the outer layers don't feel heavy. The cube measures approx. 61.5 mm, so it is a little smaller than many classic 4x4s. People with smaller hands usually find it easier to turn.

Tension is adjusted with screws, and a screwdriver is included. The set of spare magnets comes in handy if you want to replace or strengthen the magnets in selected pieces. The AoSu GTS2 M is legal for official WCA competitions. It's a good choice for speedcubers who train 4x4 seriously and want a fast, stable cube without a long setup. It's also easy to handle for someone who can already solve the 3x3 and is moving on to bigger cubes. MoYu now has newer models in the AoSu series, but the GTS2 M is still a competitive 4x4.

    No wypas!

    To nie mercedes, to nie mercedes AMG, To Mercedes Maclaren F1. Nie jest wam potrzebny taki wypas. Postaram się wskazać wady. W pełnym słońcu pastele krawędzi prześwituja i trudno je odróżnić. Ale to może ogólna wada wersji stickerless Bright. Magnesy mocne i powodują zacieranie się wewnętrznych ścianek pomimo smarowania. Ale ja wolno kręcę (7 minut). Jak ktoś jest szybki to film olejowy nie będzie się zrywał i ten mankamen nie powinien wystepowac. Dodam, że pomimo przycierania kość chodzi świetnie. Nie przesadzajcie ze smarowaniem, bo potem smar z niej wycieka i obtłuszcza ścianki.

    Kostka jest genialna! Porusza się płynnie i mega szybko! Magnesy przyjemne dobrze dobrane. Kość dobrze ścina zakręty w obie strony. Co ciekawe środek kostki jest czerwony. Co prawda nie wpływa to na układanie ani na feeling, ale dziwnie wygląda.

    Lubimy się

    Bardzo dobra kostka. Na początku lekko wolna, ale po kilkudziesięciu ułożeniach chodzi jak złoto. Magnesy idealnie dobrane. Kolory bardzo przyjemne. Zachęca do treningów. Warto było zainwestować trochę więcej w dobrą 4 bo tańsze, które miałem do niczego się nie nadawały.
