MoYu Display

MoYu Display, an external display for your timer

MoYu Display is an external display for the MoYu timer that shows your solve time on a separate screen. At competitions, displays like this stand next to the stations so the audience, judges and other competitors can follow the result live. At home, in a school club or at a local tournament it works the same way: the cuber solves on the timer, and everyone else follows the time on the display instead of the small screen next to the competitor's hands.

What it's useful for

For regular solo practice, the timer alone is enough. The display makes sense wherever more people need to see the result:

• Practice in competition-like conditions. It helps you get used to other people watching your time while you solve.
• Clubs, school groups and classes. The instructor and participants can see the result without walking up to the station.
• Local tournaments and demonstrations. The audience can follow the times live.

Timer compatibility

The display is designed for MoYu timers. According to users on speedcubing forums, it does not work out of the box with timers from other manufacturers (e.g. QiYi or SpeedStacks). A few people have connected them using their own modifications, but this is not standard use. If you already have a timer from another brand, make sure this setup will suit you before buying. You need a separate timer to use the display, as the device itself does not measure time.
