The MoYu MeiLong 10x10x10 is a budget 10x10 from the MeiLong series. It was released in 2019 by MoFang JiaoShi, a brand owned by MoYu. The MeiLong series aims to make big cubes available at a lower price, and this model shows it well. It measures approx. 84 mm and weighs approx. 355 g, which makes it one of the smallest and lightest 10x10 cubes on the market. It comes in a stickerless bright version with a matte (frosted) surface.

How it turns

Turning is light and smooth, and the cube turns well right out of the box. Corner cutting is decent for such a big cube. You do need to keep the layers aligned, though, because imprecise turning leads to lockups. Some users say they occasionally have to realign layers during a solve. That's normal for a 10x10, but if you have no experience with big cubes, you should expect it.

The small size cuts both ways. The cube is comfortable to hold in both hands, and your hands get less tired during long solves. That matters, because a single 10x10 solve can take quite a while. On the other hand, the pieces are very small, so people with large hands may need a moment to get used to it.

Construction and adjustment

• Three-layer internal structure, i.e. a triple centre system. It stiffens the cube and helps it stay stable. With this many layers, that's key to keeping pieces from popping out and the cube from falling apart.
• Adjustment screws that let you set the tension to suit your turning style.
• Coloured plastic instead of stickers, so nothing wears off or peels.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to get started with 10x10 cubes and doesn't need a more expensive model right away. It also works well as another big cube for your collection. You'll get the most out of it if you can already solve the 4x4 and 5x5 and know reduction. It's not a good choice as a child's first cube. 10x10 cubes are not an event at official WCA competitions.
