MoYu Meilong Four Leaf Clover is a 3x3 cube modification from MoYu's budget Meilong series. The edges and corners have rounded, curved cuts, so each face looks like a four-leaf clover. The cube has no visible centers, and in practice this changes the way you solve it even more than its unusual look. It comes in a stickerless bright version, which means no stickers, just colored plastic.

How is it different from a regular 3x3?

You turn the faces just like on a classic 3x3 cube, so the algorithms you know still work. The difference is that on a regular cube the center shows you the color of the face. Here you can't see it, so you have to orient yourself by the corners and edges. At first it's easy to get confused on the first layer, which is why even people who solve the 3x3 confidently usually need a few attempts before they switch to this way of thinking.

Adjustment and build

The cube has adjustment screws, so you can tighten or loosen it if needed. With modifications that have unusually shaped pieces, it's best to start with the factory setting and change the tension gradually, so the cube is neither too stiff nor too loose. At 56 mm and about 77 g, it feels in your hands much like a typical speedcubing 3x3.

Who is it for?

For people who can already solve a 3x3 and want to try something different without learning a completely new method. The Meilong Four Leaf Clover works well as another puzzle for your collection or as a gift for a child who has already mastered their first cube. It is not allowed in official WCA competitions and it is not a cube for breaking records. It's a puzzle for the joy of solving and for practicing spatial orientation.
