A budget magnetic Megaminx from MoYu in its second version, stickerless in a bright colour scheme. It has convex faces and rounded ridges that improve grip, while the magnets are rather weak to medium. A good choice for your first Megaminx and for learning.

MoYu Meilong Megaminx V2 M is the second version of the budget Megaminx from the Meilong series, in a magnetic version (the letter M in the name). A Megaminx is shaped like a dodecahedron, which means it has 12 pentagonal faces. You solve it in a similar way to a 3x3 cube, it just takes longer, which is why it is often the first bigger puzzle people pick up after mastering the 3x3. This version is stickerless in a bright colour scheme, so there are no stickers that could wear off or peel.
The surface is what stands out most. The faces are slightly convex, the pieces have rounded ridges, and there are gaps between them that make it easier for your fingers to catch the layers when turning. Inside, the pieces are V-shaped, which according to the manufacturer should help with smooth turning. This shape doesn't suit everyone: some users get used to it quickly and praise the grip, while others say the ridges dig into their fingers during longer solving sessions.
According to user reviews, the Meilong V2 M turns smoothly and feels quite good for its price. The magnets are rather weak to medium. They help the layers settle into place, but they don't give a strong "click", and some people barely feel them. Corner cutting is decent, but not at the level of more expensive Megaminxes. People who solve the Megaminx for time often compare it with the YJ YuHu V2 M from a similar price range, and opinions are divided here. It's a good idea to lube the puzzle well, as it then becomes noticeably nicer to solve.
This is a Megaminx for learning and casual solving. It's a good fit for someone who can already solve a 3x3 and wants to try something bigger without spending a lot, and also as a gift for a child who has caught the cubing bug. If you train the Megaminx for time and want strong magnets and reliable corner cutting, it's better to go for a more expensive flagship model.
