Replacement corner piece for the magnetic MoYu RS2M 2x2 cube in White. Handy when a piece cracks during a corner twist or gets lost after a pop. Before you buy, check which RS2M version you have, as later generations have a modified mechanism.
MoYu RS2M Corner Part is a replacement corner piece for the MoYu RS2M 2x2 cube. On a 2x2 cube every piece is a corner, so a single cracked or lost piece is enough to make the cube unsolvable. This part lets you repair your cube without buying a new one. It is available in the White colour variant.
A 2x2 corner most often breaks when you try to twist it with your fingers (a so-called corner twist). The plastic foot that holds the piece in the mechanism is put under heavy strain and can crack. It can also happen when you take the cube apart for lubing or cleaning and the piece gets pried out at the wrong angle. Another common reason for a replacement is losing a corner that flew out during a pop.
When you take the cube apart, don't force the corners to twist. It is safer to loosen the screw and take the piece out than to try to pry it out.
The RS2M is a magnetic 2x2 cube, about 50 mm in size, released by MoYu in autumn 2020. Later versions of this model followed, including the RS2M Evolution (also called the RS2M 2022). It has a redesigned mechanism with differently shaped corner ends, intended to better protect against popping. Pieces from different generations may not be compatible. Before you buy, check which version you have. If you're not sure, write to us and send a photo of your cube or the damaged piece, and we'll help you choose the right part.
To replace the piece, you usually just need to loosen the screw in the core, remove the damaged corner, insert the new one and tighten the screw again. Afterwards it's worth checking the tension, because after disassembly the cube often turns looser or tighter than before. A parent repairing a child's cube can easily handle this with a small screwdriver.
