MoYu Smart 3x3 Mirror M

MoYu Smart 3x3 Mirror M is a smart version of the Mirror Blocks, meaning it has built-in electronics. It connects to the MoYu app and records the moves you make on the cube. Mechanically, it is a regular 3x3 in the Mirror Blocks shape, with a silver mirror finish. Inside, there is a magnetic Ball-Core. If you like shape mods and want to record and analyze your solves, this cube gives you both.

How a Mirror cube works

All pieces are the same color but differ in thickness. Once scrambled, the cube loses its cube shape, and while solving you are guided by the shape and height of the pieces, not by colors. The mechanism is the same as in a classic 3x3, so the methods and algorithms you already know will work. Recognizing cases is harder, because you need to look closely at the pieces. That is why the Mirror works well as a break from a regular 3x3 and as a test of whether you really see what is happening on the cube.

Smart features and magnets

• Connects to the MoYu app on Android and iOS. Your solves are tracked in the app, so you can review and analyze them later.
• Battery: according to distributors, up to approx. 30 hours of use on a single charge.
• Magnetic Ball-Core, meaning magnets in the core. They help align the layers and keep the cube stable while turning. In Mirror Blocks the layers have different thicknesses, so this extra help with holding alignment is especially useful.

Smart or regular version?

MoYu also offers the Mirror Blocks V2 without electronics, in non-magnetic, magnetic UV and Ball-Core versions. If you just want to solve a Mirror, the regular version is all you need. The Smart version makes sense if you want to track your solves in the app, or if you already own MoYu smart cubes and want to add a shape mod to your collection.

Who is it for?

For anyone who can already solve a classic 3x3 and wants to try something different, and for collectors of unusual cubes. It's not really meant as a first cube. Beginners will find it easier to start with a regular, colored 3x3 and come back to the Mirror later.
