MoYu Solving Robot

MoYu Solving Robot

MoYu Solving Robot is a robot that scrambles and solves a 3x3 cube on its own. It is a cube accessory, not another 3x3 model. You put a compatible MoYu cube inside, and the robot scans its faces, calculates the solution and performs the moves. You don't need to connect it to a phone or install an app. Everything happens in the device itself.

What the MoYu robot can do

• Solving from any state. The robot recognizes the state of the cube and solves it by itself.
• Scrambling. It can prepare a scramble while you focus on your training.
• Infinity loop (display) mode. The robot keeps scrambling and solving the cube in turns without a break. It's handy for a display or for showing off to friends.

Some users also use the infinity loop mode to break in a new cube. They leave a lubed cube in the robot for several dozen minutes. This is their own practice, not a feature advertised by the manufacturer, but it may come in handy. It's also not a record-breaking machine. According to reviews, a fast cuber will solve the cube faster than the robot.

Compatible 3x3 cubes

The robot works with selected MoYu 3x3 cubes. Special center caps, included in the set, are attached to the cube. Compatible models include:

• MoYu RS3 M 2020
• MoYu Super RS3 M and Super RS3 M V2
• MoYu WeiLong WR M 2021
• MoYu MeiLong 3x3 M
• MoYu YS3 M
• MoYu AI 3x3 (smart cube)

Cubes from other manufacturers are not on this list, so it's worth checking whether your cube is compatible before you buy.

Who is it for?

It's a great gadget for a cube fan who already owns a MoYu cube. It also works well as a gift for a child interested in solving and as a desk decoration. For a speedcuber, it's a convenient way to scramble a cube quickly and a fun thing to show friends. However, it's not equipment that will improve your times on its own.

Important: do not power the robot from a laptop or computer USB port. Distributors warn that this may damage the computer.
