QiYi 3x3 with Fluorescent stickers

QiYi 3x3 with Fluorescent stickers

QiYi 3x3 with Fluorescent stickers is a classic 3x3 cube from QiYi with a black body and fluorescent stickers that glow in the dark. The main appeal here is the look of the cube. When you switch off the lights, you can still see the colors of the faces, so you can solve it in the evening or show your friends something an ordinary cube can't do.

A cube with glow-in-the-dark stickers

Mechanically, this is a simple 3x3 cube from QiYi's budget range, not a flagship speedcubing model. It has no tension adjustment, MagLev or Ball-Core systems. You buy it mainly for the glow effect. It turns fine and is suitable for learning your first method, but a cube for breaking records should give you more control and better corner cutting.

The fluorescent stickers are applied to black plastic. Compared to stickerless versions, cubes with stickers have one weak point: with heavy use, the stickers wear over time, especially at the edges. Keep this in mind if you plan to use the cube every day for a long time.

Who is it for?

It's a great gift idea or an addition to a collection, especially for a child or someone who is just starting to solve and wants something different from a standard colorful cube. It also works well for a cuber who already has a training cube and is looking for something to play with in the dark or to put on the shelf.

If you want to practice timed solves and improve your results, a magnetic 3x3 cube designed for speedcubing is a better choice. This version serves a different purpose.
