QiYi 8 cubes Bundle is a set of eight QiYi puzzles in one box. Inside you'll find classic NxN cubes, a few puzzles beyond the standard cube category and a guide with solving methods. All puzzles in this version have a black body and stickers. With this set you can find out how different puzzles solve without buying each one separately, and it makes a great gift for someone who is just getting into cubing.

What's in the set

The box usually contains these models:

• 2x2: QiYi QiDi
• 3x3: QiYi Warrior W (QiYi Sail in some batches)
• 4x4: QiYi QiYuan
• Pyraminx: QiYi QiMing
• Skewb: QiYi QiCheng
• Megaminx: QiYi QiHeng
• Ivy Cube, a simpler variant of the Skewb with three large and three small pieces on each face
• Mirror Cube in silver, a 3x3 with pieces of different sizes that you recognize by shape rather than colour

The manufacturer sometimes swaps individual models depending on the batch, but the box always contains eight puzzles.

How they turn

All puzzles come from QiYi's budget line. The best of them is the Warrior W, which has been known for years as one of the most sensible cheap 3x3 cubes. It has decent corner cutting and turns stably. The 4x4 and Megaminx may feel tight right out of the box, but they loosen up noticeably after a few dozen solves. The QiCheng is a simple Skewb that's easy to get started with. These aren't cubes for chasing records, but comfortable, predictable models for learning new puzzles.

Who is it for?

For beginners who can already solve a 3x3 or are just learning and want to try other puzzles, including several WCA events (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, Pyraminx, Skewb, Megaminx). It also makes a great gift for a child or the whole family. The box comes in handy later for storing the cubes. A speedcuber who wants to train a given event more seriously will sooner or later switch to a higher-end magnetic model. In that case, the set stays as backup cubes or puzzles just for fun.
