QiYi Magnetic Puzzle Dog

QiYi Magnetic Puzzle Dog

QiYi Magnetic Puzzle Dog is a flat magnetic puzzle with a dog design, in cyan. It is not a speed cube but a small, flat logic puzzle. It fits in your hand, a backpack or a jacket pocket, so it works well when travelling, in a waiting room or as a break between cube solves.

How the puzzle works

The pieces are held in place by magnets, so they don't scatter after every move and you can put the puzzle down halfway through solving it. Keep in mind, though, that magnets are not as strong as snap-in fittings. One of our customers writes that pieces fall out from time to time, although overall he recommends the puzzle. With small children, it's a good idea to make sure the small parts don't get lost.

Who is it for?

The QiYi magnetic puzzle is more for a child or a small gift than for a speedcuber looking for training gear. You don't need to know any algorithms or techniques here. What counts is logical thinking and a bit of patience. Puzzle Dog also has a companion, the QiYi Magnetic Puzzle Cat. If you're buying for two children or want the whole set, you can get both.
