QiYi Magnetic Puzzle Lite is a magnetic puzzle from QiYi, but it is not a speed cube. There is no MagLev, Ball-Core or UV coating here, so it makes no sense to compare it with 3x3 cubes built for speedsolving. Here the magnets are part of the puzzle itself, and they are what gives it its character. In our shop, this QiYi magnetic puzzle is available in the Transparent version, which lets you see inside the pieces.

How it differs from speed cubes

In speed cubes, magnets in the pieces help the layers align during fast turning. This puzzle is not about solve times or TPS. Terms such as corner cutting, tensioning or compression do not apply to this product, and the puzzle has no adjustment options either. It is a good choice for someone who already owns a few cubes and wants something different from yet another 3x3 or another Pyraminx.

Lite version and colours

QiYi sells the Magnetic Puzzle Lite in several colours. Apart from the transparent version we stock, there is also a Rainbow version, among others. The clear plastic looks great on a desk or shelf as part of a collection, because you can see the magnets and the structure of the puzzle through it.
