QiYi Maze Sandwich Cube

QiYi Maze Sandwich Cube combines a cube with turning layers and a 3D maze. A metal ball moves around inside, and your task is to guide it to the finish square. The shell is transparent, and the red, yellow and blue inner pieces form the channels of the maze. You can see the ball at all times.

How to play

At the start, the ball is locked in place. Press the start button to release the ball and the game begins. Tilt the cube to roll the ball through the corridors, and when the path ends, turn the layers to create a new passage. That's what sets it apart from an ordinary maze: the route isn't fixed, so you have to work it out anew every time.

Design

The cube has three coloured layers, like sandwich-style cubes, but you don't solve it by colours. What matters is the ball's path. The ABS shell is fully enclosed and has rounded edges, so the ball won't fall out even if you turn the cube upside down. This is not a cube for speedsolving.

Who is it for?

It's a great toy for kids aged 6 and up and for adults looking for something different from traditional cubes. It trains coordination and spatial thinking. You can play on your own or race against someone else if each of you has a cube. It also makes a nice small gift, as the game is easy to understand without knowing any algorithms.
