QiYi Pillowed Keychain 30 mm

It measures approx. 30 mm and you can actually solve it. The QiYi Pillowed Keychain is a miniature 3x3 cube on a detachable chain. The faces are slightly convex (pillowed shape), so the cube doesn't have flat sides like a regular 3x3. It comes in a stickerless bright version, with coloured plastic instead of stickers, so nothing wears off or peels away when you carry it in your pocket.

How does this mini 3x3 cube turn?

At this size, you might expect a stiff gadget that barely turns. This cube turns smoothly right out of the box, and once you get used to it, you can do fast solves on it. Users describe the feel as smooth, slightly sandy, and praise its surprisingly good corner cutting for a mini cube. It's still a keychain, though, not a record-breaking speed cube. The pieces are small, so with large hands and aggressive turning, lockups and imprecise moves are more likely than on a 56 mm cube. It also has no magnets.

Thanks to the convex faces, the cube measures approx. 35 mm at its widest point, although it measures approx. 30 mm between the face centres. It also makes a nice small gift for someone who solves cubes, or an add-on to a bigger order. For learning to solve and for practice, a regular standard-size 3x3 cube is a better choice. Because of its small parts, the keychain is not suitable for young children.
