QiYi Pyraminx with Fluorescent stickers

QiYi Pyraminx with Fluorescent stickers

This QiYi Pyraminx has a black body and fluorescent stickers that glow when you turn off the lights. It belongs to the QiYi Fluorescent Sticker series, launched in 2025. Besides the pyraminx, the series includes 2x2, 3x3 and Mirror cubes, among others. The mechanism comes from the budget QiYi QiMing S2, so you get a proven, simple pyraminx with a different look.

How the stickers work

The stickers absorb light and then glow in the dark for a while. The effect is strongest in dim lighting or under a UV lamp (blacklight). In normal light, they look like vivid, bright colors on black plastic. Note: don't confuse this model with the QiYi Pyraminx Glow in the Dark. On that one, the plastic itself glows, while here only the stickers do.

Mechanism and feel

The QiMing S2 is a beginner pyraminx that turns smoothly and evenly. The pieces have a so-called anti-stick design. This refers to the shape of the pieces, which helps the lube spread better through the mechanism and makes the pieces stick together less. Some users point out a fairly strong plastic "click" when the layers align. It may be bothersome at first, but over time and after lubing it usually becomes less noticeable. This is not a flagship model for chasing records. More demanding cubers will probably go for a more expensive pyraminx with tension adjustment.

Who is it for?

• As a first pyraminx. Pyraminx is one of the WCA events and is quick to learn, so it is often the first puzzle people pick up after the 3x3 cube.
• As a gift for a child. The glowing stickers are impressive, and the pyraminx remains a normal, fully functional puzzle.
• For collectors and for showing off. It matches the other models in the Fluorescent series and looks great in dim light or under UV.
