QiYi The Three Kingdom Klotski

QiYi The Three Kingdom Klotski is a magnetic sliding block puzzle from QiYi, based on the Chinese puzzle Huarong Dao. Its theme and characters come from the Three Kingdoms period. Unlike a 3x3 cube, you don't turn any layers here. Instead, you slide blocks around the board, and the goal is to guide the largest piece to the exit. That piece is a square showing Chancellor Cao Cao, which starts at the top centre of the board.

How it works

You can't lift or rotate the blocks. You can only slide them into empty spaces. The large piece is blocked by smaller blocks of different shapes, so you first have to clear a path for it. You can explain the rules in a minute, but finding the solution means planning several moves ahead. Your first attempt will usually take longer than you expect. The instructions include various starting layouts, from easier to harder, so you can keep playing after your first solve.
