QiYi Warrior S 3x3x3
A budget non-magnetic 3x3 cube from QiYi with screw tension adjustment. It turns light and smooth, making it a great first cube for learning to solve. A solving guide is included.
QiYi Warrior S 3x3x3
QiYi Warrior S 3x3x3 is a budget speed cube from 2019 and the successor to the Warrior W, with an improved mechanism. It has no magnets and doesn't compete with flagship cubes. Still, for very little money you get a cube that turns much more easily than an ordinary "toy" puzzle cube. That makes it easier to learn to solve, and you can see right away how a speed cube should feel.
How it turns
The Warrior S turns light and smooth, which is all you need when you're starting out. Corner cutting is decent but limited. Fast, imprecise moves can cause lockups, and without magnets the layers don't snap into place on their own, so the cube asks for slightly more accurate turning. If you're learning the layer-by-layer method, that's not a problem. At higher speeds, roughly when you learn F2L and get below 30 seconds, you'll clearly start to feel the difference compared with magnetic cubes.
Tension adjustment
Tension is adjusted the classic way, with screws under the centre caps. If the cube is too loose or too tight, you can adjust it without buying any parts.
Colour variants
- Stickerless Bright: coloured plastic with no stickers, so there's nothing to peel off or replace.
- Bright/Black: black body with coloured faces.
- Jelly color and Neon color: versions with unusual colour schemes that differ only in looks.
The mechanism is the same in all variants.
Who is it for?
As a first 3x3 cube, for a child, for learning to solve, or as a spare cube for your backpack. If you already solve regularly and want to improve your times faster, you'll be better off with a cheap magnetic model. In the same series, that's the QiYi Warrior M.

QiYi Warior s - bardzo dobra kostka do początkowego speedcubingu
Kupilem kostke na promocji w kolorze stickerless bright i jest świetna. Wczesniej mialem kostke MoYu za 60zł i jest gorsza od tej, po nasmarowaniu będzie chodziła bardzo delikatnie (nie regulowałem kostki i nasmarowalem smarem adheron średnio lepki silikonowy smar)
Jej minusem jest to, że przy obrotach niektorych scianek slychac jak pracuja sprezyny albo sruby ( nie jest to glosne, mi nie przeszkada). Sama kostka bez smaru i ze smarem scina 20stopni, jest to malo ale ja jako osoba ktora uklada kostke od 2 lat to mi to nie przeszkadza bo raczej ktos przy szybszym ukladaniu nie bedzie tak mocno przekrecal np. górnej scianki (jesli umiesz szybko ukpadac to umiesz dobrze przekrecic sciane)
Nie mozna tez obrocic naroznikow

QiYi Warrior S jest SPOKO
Dostałem te kostkę na tegorocznym konkursie na dzień dziecka, używam jej do Multi BLD bo jest płynna nawet bez magnesów może dobre osiągi osiągać (masło maślane) z pewnością dokupie jeszcze z 5 sztuk. Ogólnie ocena 10/10

Kostka Warrior S po wyjęciu z opakowania wygląda naprawdę fajnie. Plastik jest matowy i dobrze trzyma się w dłoniach. Jednak jest trochę za luźna, np. gdy chcę zrobić ruch U często wychodzi U2. Problem też jest taki, że czasami przy szybkim układaniu można pomylić kolor zielony z żółtym.
