QiYi WuQue 4x4x4 Mini Magnetic

QiYi WuQue 4x4x4 Mini Magnetic is a smaller version of the WuQue, one of the most popular 4x4 cubes of a few years ago. It is made by MoFangGe, a brand owned by QiYi. The Mini version measures 60 mm, about 2 mm smaller than the standard WuQue. This variant also comes with factory-installed magnets. The model was released in 2018 and is approved for official competitions.

Mechanism and stability. Inside, it resembles most modern 4x4 cubes, with two distinctive features. The first is an extra ring just above the bases of the corner feet. The second is the noticeably wider lower parts of the side edges. Tabs on the centers and side edges fit into these elements, which keeps the layers stable while you solve. With this design the middle edges don't need torpedoes, so the WuQue has none at all.

How it turns. Turning is smooth, but the cube has stiff springs, which means noticeable resistance when turning. If you like a light, loose 4x4, you will feel this right away. Loosening the adjustment screws, lubing the cube or doing a spring compression mod often helps. Corner cutting is excellent, and the magnets are clearly noticeable. They help the layers snap into place and reduce accidental misalignments during center reduction and edge pairing.

The 60 mm size makes particular sense if you have smaller hands. A smaller cube is easier to hold, and fingertricks on the outer layers require less movement.

Who is it for? This magnetic 4x4 cube is best suited to intermediate and advanced cubers who know how to adjust the tension and springs to their own style. It is a 2018 design, so newer flagship 4x4 cubes usually offer a wider range of adjustment and lighter turning straight out of the box. The WuQue Mini M stands out with its stable mechanism, good corner cutting and small size.
